About Melissa Louise

Welcome! I'm Melissa Louise.

I am a Colorado-based contemporary and intuitive artist with an international exhibition record spanning Milan, Barcelona, and Crete. I am dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind art that elevates the soul through an authentic and deeply personal space.

Beyond the canvas, I am the pioneer, Founder, and Visionary of The E-Vessel Movement™. After 20 years of recruiting top talent, I realized that art has a higher calling. I created this first-of-its-kind movement to bring together artists who believe that beauty is most powerful when it’s used to heal.

We call our mission The 10% Legacy™. It’s a simple, honest promise: 10% of every piece of art I sell (and every piece sold by our collective) goes directly to help people in need around the world. Whether I’m giving new life to discarded materials or painting a fresh vision on canvas, the goal is always the same: to turn creative 'grit' into global 'gold.'

When you collect a piece of my work, you aren't just buying art—you’re helping us pour beauty back into the world.

My Signature Style:

My work is a study in Contemporary Neo-Expressionism, where the physical act of painting becomes a bridge between the seen and the unseen. Utilizing an expressive impasto technique and bold action-painting gestures, I create dense, three-dimensional compositions that range from pure, soulful abstracts to interpreted figurative forms.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind and tells its own story—a testament to faith, flow, and creative surrender. The shimmer of the metallics combined with this sculptural application of paint creates a luminous quality that dances with the changing light, inviting a visceral connection that transcends the canvas. Whether capturing the rhythmic energy of a musical instrument or the quiet strength of a silhouette, my art is an invitation to feel something bigger and to bring a piece of that elevation into your own space.

My Story

I've been surrounded by art my entire life. Several people in my family were—and are—talented artists, including my late father, a phenomenal oil painter who could paint anything. I developed a passion for drawing and painting at a young age, embracing creativity as something innate and essential to who I am.

I studied Fine Arts in North Texas before setting my artistic practice aside for several years. Then, in March 2022, I picked up a paintbrush again and reawakened the artist within—this time with a deeper understanding of what creating truly means to me.

My work is deeply personal and part of my testimony. As a survivor of trauma, I spent years struggling with self-esteem and self-worth. Through inner work, self-reflection, and faith, I've reclaimed my voice—and my art reflects that journey of healing and redemption. Each painting represents freedom, courage, and the grace that carried me through. They're born from a place of surrender, where I let go of control and co-create with God. I don't plan what will emerge on the canvas; I simply show up, trust the process, and let it unfold.

This intuitive practice has become a form of prayer for me—a conversation between my hands, my heart, and God. Some pieces flow from worship and gratitude, while others emerge from pure color exploration and emotional release. All of them are honest. My art is living proof of what God can do with broken pieces—it's my testimony painted on canvas.

Sharing my artwork with the world is an act of vulnerability. Through my art, I hope to inspire others—whether you share my faith or not—to love themselves fully, embrace their own creative voice, and pursue what makes them happy and fulfilled. Without guilt. Without hesitation. Without needing anyone's permission. If my work moves you, that's enough. That's everything.
